Mission

The Avantor Foundation’s mission is to create a better world by advancing science education and providing healthcare to those in need.

For more than 10 years now, the foundation has enabled us to go beyond what Avantor and our associates do each day through our business lines to provide much-needed support to our communities.

Science/Technology Education

Avantor believes that the best way to ensure the future of science is by investing in science education. Yet the number of students pursuing science and technology degrees, especially among women and minorities, is low. To help address this, the Avantor Foundation funds:

  • Community-based organizations that teach science and technology to underserved high school students
  • Science labs in underserved schools, community colleges or smaller universities by providing support for equipment and/or talent

Bringing Health Care to Those in Need

Across the globe, there are large groups of people who do not have access to medical facilities, such as hospitals or clinics, or other traditional health care providers. Yet they are in desperate need of quality medical care. In recognition of this, the Avantor Foundation funds organizations that bring basic health care services and workers to people who are impoverished, do not have easy access to health care services or are disaster survivors.

Avantor®, a Fortune 500 company, is a leading global provider of mission-critical products and services to customers in the biopharma, healthcare, education & government, and advanced technologies & applied materials industries.
